Fruit tart... Healthy and yummy!

Assalamualaikum again..

As i've mentioned before, today i'm going to share the recipe of the tart that i 'm crazy with, during the last Ramadhan. *Wink..wink*
I'm presenting.... Fruit tart!! A healthy and yummy tart!

Gladly to say even for the first timer, i can admit that this recipe is simple enough to make. Just that u need to have more patience dalam membuat tart crust nyer satu persatu.. or u just can make one big fruit tart terus! Cepat skit kan siap! Anyway, kalau nak lagi cepat, u can buy premade tart crust yg dah siap dibakar, yang hanya menunggu untuk diletakkan filling je. >.< Sekarang dah available di kebanyakan kedai2 kek/ pasaraya tertentu..

Now, let's see the recipe, k..

For TART CRUST RECIPE, u can go through it in  my previous entry, in resipi blueberry cheese tart. Same recipe used. Just click on the link :) Jadi kita terus pergi pada pastry cream recipe untuk fruit tart...

PASTRY CREAM RECIPE

1 1/4 cawan (300ml) susu segar
3 biji kuning telur (saiz besar)
1/4 cawan (50gm) gula
2 sudu besar tepung gandum
2 sudu besar tepung jagung
1 sudu teh esen vanilla

TOPPING
Fruits you like! Yummy2x!!
Strawberries/ Kiwi/ Apricot/ Grapes/ Blueberries etc

Cara2nya:
1. Gaulkan gula dan kuning telur (Don't let this mixture sit too long or u will get pieces of egg forming)
3. Didihkan susu yang dah ditambahkan esen vanilla (just until milk starts to foam up)

Yummylicious!! >_<

Mini fruit tart! >_<
Giant fruit tart with luxurious fruits!
Glazing and stunning grapes!!
Satu hari pun boleh licin sekotak ni.. hehe...
Selamat mencuba and happy baking! \^_~/

Resipi Blueberry cheese tart

Syawal dah habis... Ramai yg mintak resipi Ramadhan hari tu lagi. Thus, i really apologizing for taking so much time for this. To make up for that, i have prepared the step-by-step recipe. ^_^ Baru tahu bukan senang sbenarnye sebelah tangan nk kacau adunan kuih.. sebelah tangan lg nk amik gambar, hoho...

Ceritera sikit tentang blueberry cheese tart yg sedap ni... Ever since my ummi started to make this cheese tart during my secondary school, it has been one of my family's favourite dessert. Everytime i make it, it never fail to make me drools over the oven. I like it best when it was just came out from the oven. The smooth, creamy cheese melt in the mouth blend with sweet and crisp tart crust and blueberry filling was so marvellous! Nyam... nyam... Waa.. I'm drooling right now!
Nampak cheesenye yg cair tuh..owh, oishii desu!!
Original recipe diambil dari buku resipi 'TARTS my heart' by Chef Kevin Chai.  Buku ni menyediakan segala macam jenis resipi tart... and i love all the recipes that i have tested. :)

TART CRUST RECIPE
Bahan2:

375g tepung gandum
22.5g susu tepung
90g gula kastor
250g butter
60g telur (dipukul)
3/4 sudu teh essen vanilla

Cara2nya (gambar lihat dr kiri ke kanan):
1. Campurkan tepung, susu tepung dan gula kastor dan gaul rata.
2. Masukkan butter. Rub in guna hujung jari sampai adunan resemble bread crumbs.

3. Masukkan telur yang dah dicampur dgn esen vanilla sedikit demi sedikit, sampai and form dough. Hati2 jgn tuang semua telur terus sebab kalau telur terlebih, dough akan jd lembik.
*Wokeh, siaapp utk tart crust!! Dough yg sama saya gunakan utk fruit tart dan egg tart.

5. Lenserkan bekas tart dengan marjerin/ butter. Sambil tu, preheat oven pd suhu 180'c.
*Dalam gambar ni sy gunakan bekas tart pakai buang. Senang, tak payah basuh.. =D
Bakar dalam preheated oven pd suhu 180'c selama 15 minit sampai separuh masak.

*Nota kaki: Beza antara tart2... Cheese tart je perlu bakar separuh masak dulu sblum letak cheese filling. Fruit tart kene bakar terus sampai masak, egg tart pulak akan bakar selepas letak custard filling.

CHEESE FILLING RECIPE

250g cream cheese
80g gula kastor
3 biji kuning telur
50g whipping cream
1/2 sudu teh essen vanilla
2 sudu besar tepung jagung

Blueberry filling

Cara2 nya:
1. Pukul cream cheese dan gula kastor sampai lembut dan smooth. Masukkan kuning telur sebiji demi sebiji dan pukul sebati after each addition.
2. Masukkan remaining ingredients dan kacau rata.

Bila cheese filling dah siap, letak dua sudu kecil blueberry filling dlm half-baked tart crust. Jgn banyak sgt, nnt manis. Tapi, jgn kedekut sgt juga ;). Then letak cheese filling covering the blueberry.

Guna toothpick utk lukis pattern atas cheese.
Utk lukis2 ni, amik cheese filling + blueberry filling + kaler purple skit. Sumer dlm small portion jeh.
Selamat mencuba and Happy baking! ^_~/

Fruit tart and egg tart recipe will be coming soon ;)

DIY Hair Comb

Assalamualaikum and halloo! ^_~
I'm here again to share an interesting tutorial that i've tried. See this hair comb wrapped with bright colourful embroidery thread. Sweet kan.. >_<

The only material i need for this project, are:
Hair comb
Embroidery thread

When i was in secondary school, i used to do cross stitches. Lucky to say that i have some left-over embroidery thread from forever ago. This thread have been dormant in my craft box for a few years since i stop cross-stitching. Sibuk mengaji la katekan..hik..hik..
Now it's time to make use of it!

Let see the Tutorial from Lemon Jitters...

It easy you know!.. I'll explain my way :)
When you start, hold the thread to the back and wrap the thread between the comb teeth so that it overlap first thread tadi. Sy suka kasi panjang skit end of thread tadi so that it's more secured under few wrapping :). Wrap about 3-4 times. Depends on ketebalan thread u olls', k.
Then, switch the color and do it over again until the other end.

The original tutorial said that there's no need to use the glue gun. Yes, no need. But as i'm afraid it might fall apart sbb mane tahu without realizing, ter'ganaz' skit kann.. so, i tied the end of the first thread with the end of the 2nd thread. So, from the back, it's kinda of ugly skit. i don't wanna show it here. muahaha...

Check the photos for specifics and how to end the wrapping.

Tadaa!.. This is my version..
The colour might look kinda strange bcoz it's a 'left over' embroidery thread kann..
But, colourful is always gojes!~ ♥♥
It's even looks pretty on my hair! Thank you, Lemon Jitters!
This is such a simple way to make the hair comb look pop.
And a set of them could make such a great little gift. Have a try! Have a nice day!

Colourful quilled heart

Through out my medical student years, i like to escape my busy time and 'kill' my masa lapang by doing this kind of crafting. Somehow it helps me in avoiding the stress from the study. =)
This pretty colourful quilled heart is my favourite product of my "hobbies"  last year.

Frankly speaking, it took bit longer time in planning this.  But, I like it so much how it turn out to be. The colours blend well together, and it's soo heartwarming~...

I used it for a handmade card, but i think it will look pretty as well being as a picture frame~

Heart.Love.XOXO =)

Cupcake: Engagement theme with paper cake toppers

Last week, one of my close friend call me at midnight and ask whether i still take order for cupcakes. Her sister really need it in less than a day as a gift for her best friend's engagement where she herself just knew it on that day!
As for having a limited time, i try to make it as best as i can...
...and alhamdulillah.
It turns out well! So sweet with its soft pink and white theme.

Unexpectedly, she brought these cupcakes as a gift, but then was put together as a dowry! ^_^
Alhamdulillah.

Feedback: The thing that i need to improvise is that the names are so small and less presentable.

This is my first time of adopting paper cake toppers idea. It's super-easy to make and very nice...
For this cake topper, i used the templates from Martha Stwart's wedding and weddingchick's idea. Have a try! :)

For love circle custom monogram, click HERE.

Love message from Mr ladybug~

Some other designs i learn from internet. May use them next time, insya Allah.

Domo-kun hard disc cover!

Assalamualaikum wbt..
"Dōmo, konnichiwa" (どうも、こんにちは)  = "Well, hello there!"

Domo... I bet you know this brown monster with a large, sawtoothed mouth that is locked wide open. ^_^ I really love it! It's cute rather than scary.

Thus, one of my very first felt craft project was this domo felt hard disc cover. Cute, right?!

To enhance its use, i make it with multiple pockets and even sew my name on its back. Among the felt project, so far this is the hardest one to sew. It require me to be more careful in its detail. But, it's pretty! It's worth then. ^_^

I'm planning to make other domo with different colour. I will show you soon. =)
Have a great day!

Domo arigatou!
